Meet Sam Cele - History Maker...
This is one special surfer girl!!!

Sam made history in 2015, being the first Zulu female to compete in a @WSL event, when she surfed in the Ballito Pro.
"Although the ocean is pure, surfing can be quite tricky as Mother Nature is unpredictable, but I guess the challenge excites me. Having to learn the ocean day to day with its tides and currents and of course riding the perfect wave - surfers would call it 'feeling the stoke'."
"Surfing is a culture of sharing the stoke and it's amazing having women of colour looking up to me as a role model so it'd be great to pass on the culture and share my passion with others. Making history in the surf league was honestly not something I had in mind but surfing got me hooked in a weird, yet good way!"
"Surfing different coasts around South Africa is the best! I would love to surf different places around the world to experiment with the surf and gain more experience. I am very lucky though living in Durban, the water is always warm here, which is a great advantage!"
